Grant West

Grant Edward West, age 28, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on September 5, 2017. Grant was a kind, gentle, and generous person, with a marvelous sense of humor especially with regards to practical jokes, which his family and friends were recipients. As a freshman at Woodlawn High School he earned the perfect attendance designation which unfortunately was awarded to his brother Ryan who was a senior at the time. Grant also earned the honor of Eagle Scout. Grant was a graduate of Southeastern University, Hammond, Louisiana with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. He was a proud and enthusiastic employee of LUBA Workers Compensation Corporation.

Grant is survived by his parents, Kathy and Pat West; his brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Sara West; his beloved dog, Margo; his Papa, Underwood Mitchell; the Goodfellas and many many other friends.

Visitation and reception will take place at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 3555 Jones Creek Rd, Baton Rouge, on September 11, 2017, from 5pm until services at 6:30pm.

Honorary pallbearers are the Goodfellas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Grant's name to Lutheran Church of Our Saviour where he was baptized, confirmed, and was a lifelong member.
