Grace Bush Gussman, age 96, left this world on February 21, 2015 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge.
She was born March 9, 1918. She was a native of Covington, LA, but lived most of her life in Baton Rouge. Grace worked for the State Department of Transporation for 40 years. She was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Larry Gussman and his wife Pug; her daughter, Gayle Gussman Robert and her husband Billy; grandchildren, Bill Gussman, II and Tracey Neyland, and her husband Tommy; three great-grandchildren, Amanda and William Gussman, and Emma Neyland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gussman; her parents, Dewitt and Ella Allison Bush; one sister, Eloise Dearmond and her husband Allen.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home from 9:00AM until funeral service at 11:00 am, officiated by Reverend Dr. Odell Simmons of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Allen Dearmond, Bill Gussmann II, Claude Whitfield, Tommy Neyland, E.J. Gussman, and Ray Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution to the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, 15447 Old Hammond Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
