A resident of Baton Rouge and a second-grade student at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Gracie passed away on Palm Sunday, March 16, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident. Gracie was a beautiful child who loved Jesus with all her heart. She had her daddy's eyes and saw the world through her mother's heart. Gracie loved her teachers and classmates and looked forward to going to school each day. She enjoyed spending precious time with her grandparents and aspired to become a veterinarian. Her passions were reading, singing, dancing and dogs. Gracie was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church children's choir, Parkview Oaks Swim Team and a member of the Lady Bugs baseball team. Gracie was 8, born Nov. 16, 1999. She is survived by her parents, Mona Naquin Gary and James Jimmy Gary; younger sister, Emma; grandparents, Warren P. and Doris H. Naquin, of Thibodaux, and Don and Grace T. Gary, of Houma; uncles and aunts, Mark and Gwen Naquin, Houma, Eric and Ronda Naquin, of Bellevue, Wash., Tim and Donna Dodson, of Foley, Ala., Art and Charlotte Wolfe, of St. Augustine, Fla., Anne and Laban Bergeron, of Garland, Texas, and John and Lisa Gary, of Gales Ferry, Conn. Gracie loved all her cousins, Taylor and Benton Naquin, Danielle Naquin, Lauren, Trent, Nicholas and Kendra Bergeron, Melissa and Gavin Theriot, Trisha, Krystin and Christopher Dodson. Visitation at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 8033 Barringer Road, on Wednesday, March 19, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Mike Collins, celebrant. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Mark Naquin, Eric Naquin, John Gary, Brennan Bourg, Greg Hanly and Laban Bergeron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
