Grace Boudreaux Burton, age 93, born October 31, 1927, was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a registered nurse who worked in surgery and as a private caregiver. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, oil painting, reading, traveling, and gardening. She was involved in charity work, knitting and crocheting items to be sold at the St. George Church Fair, as well as many other charitable events. Grace is survived by her devoted husband Edwin; her brother Nolan Boudreaux (Catherine Broussard); her children Joan LeBlanc (Kenny) and Emily Bowman; her grandchildren Kristy Bourgeois, Brandi Burton, Ivy Harp (Eric), Amy Townsend (Jared), Troy Burton, Travis Burton (Courtney), Michael Bowman, Mary Burton, Melanie LeBlanc, Melissa Bowman, Samantha LeBlanc, and Sydney Babin (Kyle). Also survived by eleven great-grandchildren. Grace is preceded in death by two children, Stephen Burton and Joyce Burton, son-in-law David Bowman, sisters Odette Burton, Kathy Prouty, and Marie Trosclair; her parents, Clebert and Olive Boudreaux. Visitation will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
