Gordon Forbes

A retired Stauffer Chemical employee and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Landmark of Baton Rouge. He was 85 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Feb. 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 p.m. until service at 4 p.m. Survived by his daughter, Carolyn and husband Karl Weber; three grandchildren, Brandon and wife Sherrie Weber, Julie and husband Shay Cooper, and Rachel Weber; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christian and Riley Weber and Lauren Cooper. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rebecca Forbes; wife, Sara Elizabeth Libby Forbes; two brothers, Don and Leslie Forbes; an infant brother; and four sisters, Callie, Pearl, Ruby and Musette. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.
