Gloria Griggs

Gloria Marie Dauthier Griggs, 91 was reunited with her beloved husband at 2:30a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Gloria was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 23, 1925. She attended Baton Rouge High School.

On June 5, 1945 she was joined in matrimony to Fred Robert Griggs.

Gloria is survived by her children, Linda Griggs, Gary & Pam Griggs, Debbie & Allan Taylor, Mark Griggs, Brad & Melanie Griggs, and Yvette & David Edwards; her grandchildren, Laura Verbois Chaney, David & Sara Miceli, Teri & Mark Perron, Scott & Jeni Verbois, Lisa & Jeff Johnson, Kevin Hardgrave, Aimee & Jason Goodson, Trent & Laura Griggs, Sean Edwards, Kristin Edwards, Landon Edwards, Julie Sell, Angela Nolte, Natalie Nolte, Benjamin Miller, and Braedon Miller; her great-grandchildren, Reece Verbois, Corey Albritton, Greer Miceli, Camille Miceli, Faye Miceli, Bethany Johnson, Mallery Johnson, Emily Johnson, Hailey Griggs, Michael Griggs, Ann Claire Harris, Averie Harris, Mia Goodson, Matthew Goodson, Michael Goodson, Nicholas Goodson, Gloria Perron, Blake Edwards, Braeden Verbois, Brody Verbois, Logan Edwards, and Mason Edwards.

Gloria is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Robert Griggs; daughter, Nancy Griggs; brothers, Willard "Pete" Dauthier, and Conrad "Dudley" Dauthier, Jr.; and parents, Conrad and Ilma Dauthier.

Pallbearers will be Scott Verbois, Trent Griggs, Sean Edwards, Landon Edwards, Braedon Miller, Jordan LeBlanc. Honorary Pallbearers: David Miceli, and Kevin Hardgrave.

Visitation for Gloria will take place on Saturday, August 13th at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 12:30p.m. - 1:30p.m. Mass will follow at 1:30p.m. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Gardens of Memory immediately after mass.

The family of Gloria Griggs wishes to extend our sincere and most heartfelt gratitude to Lynn Griggs. Lynn, cared for "Memaw" medically, lovingly and spiritually. For over a year she personally took care of Gloria as a registered (retired) nurse but mostly as a loving friend. She gave Gloria 100[%] of her attention in ways that are simply unmeasurable.
