Gloria Jane Dyer (Auntie Glo)

Gloria Jane Dyer (Auntie Glo), passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2019, at the age of 64. Gloria was born June 4, 1954 in Baton Rouge, where she lived all of her life.  She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Northwestern State University where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.  Gloria was employed by Abbott Thibodeaux Heating and Air.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Glynn and Mary Lea Graham Dyer; and brother, Glynn Ray Dyer.

Gloria is survived by her two sisters, Genevieve Dyer Hughes and Jacquelyn Dyer Kirkpatrick and husband Bruce; sister-in-law, Ray Lynn Dyer; her nieces, Laura Hughes Marvin and husband Chip, Stacy Dyer Boe and husband Jay, Ashley Dyer Guidry and husband Derek; her nephews, Major Clay Kirkpatrick, and Raymond Earl Dyer and wife Tara. She is also survived by 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 3 great-great nieces, and 1 great-great nephew; and her close friends, Andre’ Bourgeois and Sara Jo Webb Gregory.

She was a loving daughter, sibling, aunt, and friend.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
