Born in 1926 in Amarillo, Texas, Died February 12, 2016 and is now in Heaven with his Heavenly Father. He loved his wife Laverne, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed the time when they were all together. He was a very loving and devoted husband to Laverne for 61 years.
Glenn played professional baseball and in 1948, he played with Lafayette in the Old Evangeline League. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a Business degree and also an MBA. Glenn later graduated from Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers. He was a banker at the First National Bank in Ft. Worth, Texas for 13 years before moving his family to Baton Rouge to join the then Louisiana National Bank in 1968. He retired after 21 years from the Premier Bank Corporation.
Glenn was a past President of the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, past President and one of the founders of Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers, and past President of the Southern District Lutheran Church Foundation. He was also a member of the Board of the Lutheran Church Missouri Foundation for 12 years.
Glenn is survived by his wonderful wife, Laverne; four children, daughter, Becky and husband Darryl in Baton Rouge, sons, Mark and wife Dianne in Plano, Kyle and wife Laura in Baton Rouge, and Jay and wife Cheri in Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren, Ben and wife Jennifer in Dallas, Julie and husband Ryan Frakes in Dallas, Collin and wife Brenna in Waco, Caroline in Dallas, James and fiancé Alyssa Dunn in Baton Rouge, and Connor, Catherine, and Carson in Baton Rouge; and Five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Lila Anne, Harper Leigh, Levi, and Michalena in Dallas. Also survived by his brother, Jerry and wife Joan in Hobe Sound, Florida; brother-in-law, Everett Roberts and wife Cay in Fort Worth; and nieces, Caryl Cochrum and Susan Pike in Fort Worth.
Glenn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 46 years and served in many capacities for his church. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in 1958 and baptized in October of 1940 at First Methodist Church in Pampa, Texas.

Visiting at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10925 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 from 1:00 pm until service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, reception at Trinity Lutheran Church after graveside.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Growth Fund.
