A resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 24, 2009. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 23rd, 1937. Glenn was an active member of Istrouma Baptist Church and was enjoying his retirement from Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Glenn graduated with a BS degree in Business Administration from Centenary College in 1963. Glenn began his working career with the Doty Candy Company and then moved into pharmaceutical sales. He spent the rest of his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a successful salesman and
ision manager. His
isions received the Division of the Year for several years under his leadership and Glenn received the Division Manager of the Year award for several years. He was also the recipient of the Presidents Award for Top Sales. Glenn ultimately received the most satisfaction from watching his salespeople succeed. Glenn was a true friend and loved the time spent with his family and friends golfing, fishing, and studying with his Bible study group. Glenn also enjoyed his volunteer work with the Brownsfield Lions Club. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 25th. Visitation will resume after 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26th. Services will be conducted by Pastors Ron Lambe, Jim Bain, and Matt Surber with burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory immediately following. Glenn is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia W. Clarke; daughter, Susan C. Landry and husband Warren of Baton Rouge; son, Glenn C. Clarke III and wife Donna of Kingsland, Georgia; stepmother, Anita Clarke of Shreveport, Louisiana; sisters, Glenda C. Jennings of Houston, Texas, Gloria C. Doyle and husband Raymond of Baton Rouge, and Judy R. Doty of Puyallup, Washington; brothers, Guy Clarke of Houston, Texas, and Richard D. Clarke of Puyallup, Washington. Glenn is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren: Olivia Landry, Walker Landry, and Cady Clarke and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Benton Aucoin, Glenn Clarke III, Bill Bingham, M.J. Chustz, Leonard Foreman, Walker Landry, Steve Montgomery, and Jim Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Blue, Francis Crifasi, and Dub Fortinberry.
