Glen M. Clark Jr. (Doc), age 76, born in Detroit, Michigan, a native of Baton Rouge, and a resident of Maurepas LA. passed away peacefully at 4:03pm Wednesday, 0ctober 11, 2017 at Clarity Hospice surrounded by his two children and their spouses. Glen was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1959. Doc was also proud member of Millwright Local 729 formally Local 720 for over 50 years beginning in 1963.A lifelong LSU Tiger fan who witnessed Billy Cannons famous run in 1958, accompanied by his father, Glen "Sport" Sr., and later attended many games through the years with his son, Glen III, they were later joined by grandson, Kaleb. The love he had for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was evident to even the casual friends of Doc. Family was important to him, and he made it a point to have all of them over for the holidays and you best not be late! The smile on his face when he was around his family especially the little ones was heartwarming, as he had the biggest of hearts. Survived by his first wife, Suzanne K. Utrera; children and spouses, Glen M. Clark III (Mai), Bridgette Renee Lowe (Bill); grandsons, Kaleb Glen Clark (Amber), Brandon Orillion; granddaughters, Victoria Orillion, and Suzannah Mai Clark; great granddaughters, Harper Rynn Clark, and Scarlett Richard; stepson Barry Carpenter; granddaughters Colleen Brouillette, Leigh Oncale (Toby) and grandchildren Jayla and Bowen Oncale. Doc is also survived by his great friend Brent Overton. Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Blanchard Henson Clark, and his parents Glen M. "Sport" Clark Sr., and Blanche W. "Baby doll" Clark. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Glen Clark, Brent Overton, Bill Lowe, Andrew Chustz, Marty Mitchell, Tobin Howard, Lynn M. King Sr. and Mahlon Thomas. The family, especially Glen III and Bridgette Renee Lowe, would like to extend their deepest thanks to the entire staff, nurses and aides at Clarity Hospice for the short but wonderful care, as we know he passed peacefully and pain free. Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19, from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm and resume on Friday October 20th, beginning at 9:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am conducted by Pastor Malcolm Richard.
