Gladys Bailey Barber Borland, a resident of Baton Rouge, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the age of 102, which she made on June 13. She was born to Ruth Dixon and George Bailey in Crystal Springs, MS. For many years, Gladys attended Goodwood Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
Gladys is survived by her children, Carroll B. Barber (Carol Lynne), Farroll T. Barber, Mary Archie Nasca (Steve), and Marshall “Mark” Barber (Natalie); grandchildren, Todd Nasca, Rob Nasca, and Harold Oglesby; several great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie J. Barber, Joe Smith, and Carter Borland; son, Clyde Oglesby; grandsons, Don Oglesby and Keith Barber; great-granddaughter Payton Blanchard; and sisters, Georgie Crowe, Mattie Pearl Pell, and Grace Marsh.
A Graveside Service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
