Gisela Stroscher

Gisela Louise Stroscher, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in Slidell, Louisiana at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Gisela was born in Hanau, Germany on July 13th, 1932, the oldest of three sisters. She is the beloved wife of the late Ewald Stroscher, also from Germany. They met in 1952 in Hanau and married two years later, in May of 1954. They then moved to the United States in 1955 and resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the duration of their life. Gisela is survived by her sister, Ruth E Guder, of Slidell, Louisiana her daughter and soninlaw, Christina and John Kerr, of Atlanta, Georgia her son, Gregory E Stroscher, of Prairieville, Louisiana and her three grandchildren, Ethan and Alexander Kerr, and Elaina Stroscher. Giselas generosity, zest for life, and spirit will be remembered for generations. Giselas favorite things in life were her grandchildren, cooking for her family, and tending to her flower gardens. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to her, but we will always love her and carry her memory in our hearts.
