A retired constable of East Baton Rouge Parish with 18 years of service and a retired employee of the East Baton Rouge Parish school system, he died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. He was 86, a native of Pride, a resident of Baton Rouge and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Monday, Aug. 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by Bishop Stephen Cutler. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two daughters, Jackie Aucoin Pierson, of Baton Rouge, and Carolyn Aucoin Tracy, formerly of New York City son and daughterinlaw, Jerry Wayne and Ida Bottoms Aucoin, of Walker sister, Viola Mire, of Lake Charles three brothers, Edward Aucoin, Lake Charles, Edgar Aucoin, Baton Rouge, and Alvin Bucky Aucoin, Sulphur six grandchildren, Landon Aydell, Tiffany Aydell, Devon Aucoin, Chad Colwart, Brandy Robinson and Cody Gray and two greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Guedry Aucoin four brothers, William, Gardner, Milton and Ivy Aucoin and two sisters, Emma White and Tressie Noble. Pallbearers will be Landon Aydell, Chad Colwart, Randy Sisco, Joe Palma, Randy Causin and Wendell Keen. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday saints.
