A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and greatgreatgrandmother. Geraldine McCoy died Thursday, May 29, 2014. She was married to Paul McCoy for 58 years and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was 87, born September 13, 1926, in Dry Prong.
She is survived by her two daughters and soninlaw, Anne McCoy and Donna and Don Cavin two sons and daughtersinlaw, Randy and Babette McCoy and Doug McCoy and Jean Andrews seven grandchildren, Loren Joe Williams and wife Malinda of Madisonville Tonya McNemar and husband David of Walker, Colleen Williams of St. Francisville, Brad Breau and wife Tammy of Missouri City, Texas, Brittany Stanga and husband Adam of Denham Springs, Londyn McCoy of Denham Springs and Miranda Andrews of Baton Rouge eleven greatgrandchildren, Thomas and Grace Williams, Ashton and Chase Boitnott, Emily McNemar, Madeline Calvert and husband Tyler, Gretchen and Victoria Williams, Madison and Reagan Breau, and Sophia Stanga two greatgreatgrandchildren Addison Boitnott and Isabella Calvert two sisters Lessie Vallery and Essie McGrew sisterinlaw Pauline McCoy Van Osdell and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McCoy her parents, George and Nolah Mobley and her sisters Syble Bookout and Ethelene Dansby.
Pallbearers will be Loren Joe Williams, Brad Breau, Chase Boitnott, Thomas Williams, David McNemar, Adam Stanga, Tyler Calvert, and Cliff Ancelet, Sr Honorary pallbearers include Don Cavin, Bobby Ray Calandro, and Loren Williams, Sr. Special thanks to the staff, friends and Stacy Thompson of The Haven at Windermere Retirement Home special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter House.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, The Carpenter House.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 1:00 pm until service time. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, conducted by Brother Ted Wells. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
