Gerald Guillot

A native of Mansura, LA and a resident of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the age of 74 after a courageous fight against cancer for three years .Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy from 12 pm until religious services at 4 pm conducted by Pastor Ron Tyndall. He was the loving husband to Dot for 53 years devoted dad to Bruce and Brian proud granddaddy to Cory and Aaron a fun brother to Alton, Dayton, Jessie and sisterinlaw Carol sisters Verlie Guillory, twin sister Beryl Bravata and husband Nace caring and dependable brotherinlaw to, Rette Lo Graves, Nette Welsh, Leonard Hey Boy Horn, Gwen Pretty Girl and husband Avis Ortego a great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a friend to all. He is preceded in death by his parents Ila and Ferdinand Guillot and motherinlaw along with best friend Oma Rumery. Gerald was an insurance man to many with a witty and a great sense of humor. He loved the LSU Tigers along with the New Orleans Saints. Thanks to Doctor Spell and the entire Staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and also thanks to everyone at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for making him and his family as comfortable as possible for his last days.
