George Schorr

Resident of Denham Springs, LA and a native of New Orleans, LA passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 79. He was the loving husband to Norma B. Schorr for 33 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy. from 10 am until funeral services at 3 pm conducted by Father Frank Uter. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his sons, David W. Schorr and wife Claire, Mark E. Schorr and wife Patricia, Jay M. Bertaut and wife Shelley, SGT Erich N. Schorr and wife Kim daughters, Cathy S. Tedesco and husband Wayne, and Jen A. Bertaut sisters, Helen Stieb and Mary Ellen S. Warner sisterinlaw, Kathleen S. Schorr brotherinlaw, Thomas R. Warner ten grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maudie Schorr brother, Henry R. Schorr and Nancy M. Schorr. George was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army from 19521972, and also a member of the 101st Airborne Division.
