A resident of Baton Rouge and retired from Copolymer after 44 years service, he died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 81 and a native of Grapevine, Texas. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Thursday, Aug. 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Friday, Aug. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ken Carroll and Dr. Clovis Sturdivant. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eddie S. Saltzman two daughters, Tonya Saltzman, and Nancy Saltzman Burr and husband Sgt. 1st Class Roy Burr a son, Brent Saltzman and wife Mary five grandchildren, Brooke Gautreau, Marine Lance Cpl. Derrick Gautreau, Paige Saltzman, Justin Saltzman and Leigh Babcock. Preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Gautreau and his parents, William E. and Bertha K. Saltzman. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
