George served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Titania during the Korean War. He was a business owner in the Baton Rouge area's chemical industry until his retirement at age 55, which allowed him more time for his real passion which was music. He played Dixieland drums and the keyboard for many years in and around this area. Our husband, father, Pops, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother will be sorely missed by his loving family and his many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 13,2015, the date of his 86th birthday, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge starting at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. when the memorial service will begin at the Resthaven Chapel and Mausoleum, officiated by Rev. Mike Schatzle.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Mike Norton, Dale McKey and Greg Boerner.
