George Earby Baggett “Tokey” left this earthly plain on the beautiful morning of Sunday October 3rd, 2021. At 95 years old, they surely had an awesome reception awaiting him on the other side. His wife of 57 Years; Mary Ann Purtle Baggett, his Mother and Father Margaret King Baggett and George E. Baggett along with his Sisters Cresie, Jackie and Ruth, plus many other relatives and dear friends like Tom Bill, Ollie and Charlie who were no doubt there to greet him.
Born Feb. 3rd, 1926, in Biloxi, Ms. George lead a full life. He served honorably in the US Navy and retired from the US Air Force. His children enjoyed travel and appreciated all the adventures he and Mary Ann took them on. George and Mary Ann’s four Children and their spouses; Mary Elizabeth Brasseaux married to Paul, Patricia Ann “Pattie” Stalder married to Bob, Amanda Gaye Landry married to Cecil and George David Baggett married to Jill Forbes Baggett will all miss him greatly. George was blessed with ten loving grandchildren and from them numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Our thanks go out to the extended family that have expressed their condolences especially his dear Sister’s Luella Clark and her Husband Jim and Martha “Blonde” Garrison.
George was known for his mischievous sense of humor and ability to make strangers become quick friends. His Grandchildren remember him as a jokester that lovingly preferred their company. He always had a dog in his life and was known for his charitable nature. The Maribel Court kids new that he would help fix anything be it a broken minibike or to air up your bike tires, he was the guy who had all the tools and was happy to lend them out to his neighbors.
George spent his last month at the War Veterans home in Jackson La. completing his long-voiced request to live out his final days at the “The Old Soldier’s Home”. He died with dignity deserving of a man that spent his days caring about others and serving his Country.
It is the Honor of these grandchildren to be Pall Bearers: Timothy Brasseaux, Jenifer Stalder, Bobby Landry, Joshua Brasseaux, Dustin Landry, Danyon Brasseaux , Garrett Brasseaux and Blake Hutchinson.
George’s dear Son in Law, Reverend Paul Brasseaux will be preforming the service.
