Genevieve Sapienza

Genevieve A. Sapienza, a devoted daughter, sister and friend of Baton Rouge, passed away on July 16, 2016.

Genevieve is preceded in death by parents, John and Sara, sisters, Sara Polizzi, and Mary Sapienza, and brother Frank Sapienza.

She is survived by one sister, Josephine DiReda, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Church where visitiation will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Located at 11441 Goodwood Blvd. Baton Rouge, La 70815

Genny as her friends and family called her lived most of her adult life in New York where she will be laid to rest at St Charles Catholic Cementary in Farmingdale NY, on Thursday, July 21, 2016.

Genny was a very caring and loving lady, although she never had children of her own she loved and adored so many. She was a true friend and will be dearly missed.

A special thank you to her caregiver Markedia Scott and to Lori Palmer who gave so much to ensure that she was well taken care of.
