Gene Miller

Gene E. Miller Sr. passed away on April, 12, 2012 at the age of 74 at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gail Wallace Miller sons, Brian Kevin Jordan and wife Jennifer, Jeff Wallace Jordan and wife Lisa and their two sons, Colton and Walker Jordan, Gene Miller, Jr. and wife, and Bret Miller and wife Laura one daughter, Tracy Dollar and husband Johnny sister, Edyne Blair Duane brother, Cary Miller Brenda sister, Marsha Brigman Jack and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Crystal Eads Miller and Ed R. Miller motherinlaw, Mary Lou Wallace fatherinlaw, Van S. Wallace. He graduated from Rice University and played pro football for the Cleveland Browns for a short period of time. He was a member of University Baptist Church for over 30 years, serving as a trustee and president of his Sunday school class. He was very active in the West Highland White Terrier Club of America having served as vice president and on the board of directors. He also owned his own company GEMCO, an industrial painting contracting company. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at University Baptist Church on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 1:30 pm until religious services at 3 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
