Gary Westcott

Gary Michael Westcott, 61, a native of New Orleans but long time resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, May 16th at his residence surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Margaret T. Westcott, his father Redge Westcott Jr., and his two brothers, Michael Westcott and Redge Westcott III.

Gary is survived in death by his mother Dolores Westcott, daughters; Jennifer Thibodaux, Melissa Still and husband Donnie Still, and brother; Larry Westcott and wife Darlene Mccormick. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Alex Westcott, Olivia Epps, and Whitney Still, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

For his last years, he was under the care of his Hospice nurse, Paul Duet, whom graciously treated him and became a dear friend of the family’s. He was a strong man who was fully committed to his family and will be sorely missed.

Services are as follows: Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, La. 70816 on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12 pm until services at 2 pm.
