Fred Dowling departed this earthly world June 27th at the age of 78. Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Burgdorff Dowling. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Fred graduated in 1959 from Millsaps College with honors in Chemistry before moving to Baton Rouge for graduate studies at LSU. He was a founding partner and president of Emission Testing Services for the past 29 years.

Beyond his professional career he volunteered for many activities including teaching Sunday school and coaching youth sports. He also served as a parent volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America.
