Francis Manley Roberts, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was 89 and a native of Opelousas. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He was a US Navy veteran and a civil engineer with the Louisiana DOTD.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Manuel and fiancé Keith Williams of Denham Springs; son Geoffrey Roberts and wife Kerry of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Calvin Roberts and wife Eileen of Kerrville, Texas; four grandchildren, Amanda Manuel of Richardson, Texas, Jason Manuel and wife Katie of Zachary, Danielle Roberts and Emily Roberts, both of Edmond, Oklahoma; and special friend, Jeanette Blanchard of Baton Rouge.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Nix Roberts; and his parents Joseph and Effie Roberts.
Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 9 AM until religious service at 11 AM, conducted by Deacon James Wax. Interment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
