Frances Tessier

Owner of Vitality Food Shoppe, Baton Rouge, the first healthfood store, established in 1959, she died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 85 and a native of Dallas. A private service will be held. Survived by her son, Charles Tessier III and wife Roberta grandchildren, Charles Tessier IV, Matthew Tessier and wife Katie, and Suzanne Fabre and husband Jared and greatgrandchildren, Lillian, Henry and Matthew Jr. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tessier Jr. daughter, Jerice Tessier brother, Albert Donnell and sister, Pricilla Ruth Donnell. She was a graduate of North Texas Agricultural College. Special thanks for years of friendship with Clara Johnson, Paige Young, fellow employees and customers at Vitality Food Shoppe.
