Frances Sue Angeline Lay Price
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Frances Sue Angela Lay Price, went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Frances was the eighth child of nine children born to Lester and Ruby Lay. Frances Sue Price was born January 17, 1925 in Sumner, Mississippi. She graduated from Webb High School in 1942. She then moved to Mobile, Alabama in November of 1942 and worked in Air Force Intelligence at Brookley Field where she met the love of her life, Malcolm Mack Price, Sr. and married on August 28, 1943. After World War II they started their family business, Malcolm Price General Contractor, and together would build hundreds of custom homes and develop several properties. She attended Istrouma Baptist Church in November 1944 till her death. She was always active at Istrouma Baptist, where she taught and worked in Sunday school for 62 years. Frances is survived by her two sons and daughterinlaw, Malcolm Mackie and Marilyn Price, and Terry Price four grandchildren, Summer Price Moore and husband Donnie, Hooper Price, Mackenzie Price and Olivia Price and three greatgrandchildren, Van and Adare Moore, and Brinkley Autin. She will be missed and deeply loved forever. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 9 am until religious services at 11 am officiated by Rev. Ron Lamb. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Hooper Price, Donnie Moore, Hall Hinchliffe, Hamilton Lemoine, Gary Taylor, and Joe W. Hall Dubbie. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Istrouma Baptist Church.
