A retired medical technician and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at her daughters home in Abita Springs surrounded by her family. She was 83 and a native of North Adams, Mass. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Feb. 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 26, from 1 p.m. until service at 2:15 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ken Carroll. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn S. Morrisse, of Abita Springs two sons, David Andrew Morrisse, of Baton Rouge, and Timothy Alan Morrisse and wife Kathryn, of Long Beach, Calif. brother, Richard K. Stuart nieces, Sarah and Carolyn nephew, Richard Jr. three grandchildren, Amalie Thibodeaux, Maia Thibodeaux and Marie Howerton six beautiful, adoring greatgrandchildren, Kirstie, Briana, Aaron, Julia, Caleb and Chase and a host of loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew L. Morrisse mother, Beulah Kingsley and father, Ernest Dawson. She was an active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, having served in Southeast Ministries and the church food pantry. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
