Forrest Woodring “Woody” Richardson from Baton Rouge, passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 74.
Woody graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1969 and started his career at Ethel Corporation. After 15 years, he moved to California to work for Xerox Corporation. Woody also worked in Russia with Xerox Corporation as an instructor. Woody loved working with his hands, but his real love was music; he played the guitar and piano, and would also host jam sessions with his friends often.
Woody is survived by his youngest brother, Samuel “Sammy” Richardson; nieces and nephews, Patrick Richardson (Michelle), Ian Richardson (Fabiola), Lauren R. Luke, Leah R. Frederick (Andrew), Jean Richardson, and April Richardson; and sister-in-law, Pam Richardson.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, James W. Richardson, Robert S. Richardson; and nephew, Stephen Richardson, and both of his parents and grandparents.
Woody was a very giving and loving person; a true humanitarian. We will all miss his character and humor. He will surely spend eternity in the loving arms of Christ. Our family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the care team at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
