Flossie Yates

A resident of Galvez, LA. She went to be with the Lord at 6:38 pm on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ascension Oaks Nursing Center in Gonzales, LA. She was 82 and a native of Monroe, LA. She is survived by her loving husband, Bernice Red Yates sons, Troy and wife Allyn Allen, Johnnie and wife Diane Allen, Ricky and wife Joann Carter, and Steve and wife Teresa Carter daughters, Paula and husband Chester Campbell, and Barbara Allen McGrew stepdaughter, Kathy and husband Fred Walters brother, Phillip Jackson Forrest, Jr. 17 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Phillip Jackson Forrest, Sr. grandson, Christopher Allen and sisters, Gladys Ponsell, Lorraine Hicks, Frances Crouch and Eula Pearl Forrest. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 10 am until funeral service at 1 pm. Pallbearers will be Jamie, Sr., Troy III, and J.J. Allen, Blaine Fontenot, Curtis and Layne Carter, and Houston and Austin Redmond. Honorary pallbearer will be Shane Redmond. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
