Florence Duson Brown, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2014.
She was known for her quick smile, genuine kindness, and generosity. Florence is dearly missed. Florence was born on January 30, 1932 in Crowley, Louisiana to Max and Florence Duson. There she met and married Charles "Fritz" Brown, they were married until his death in 1998.
Florence is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Brown Martin and her husband, Dorsey of Baton Rouge; two sons, Max Brown of Laguna Beach, California and Roger Brown and his wife, Candy of Prairieville; grandchildren, Ashley Martin Lea and her husband, Ryan of Alpharetta, Georgia; Beau Martin and his wife, Laurie of New Orleans; Jacob Brown and Haley Brown of Prairieville; three great-grandsons, Harrison Lea, Hudson Lea, and Anderson Lea of Alpharetta.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Fritz" Brown; parents, Max and Florence Duson; sister, Max Ann Duson Dantzler; and brother-in-laws, Walt Dantzler and Charles "Moon" Chappuis.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 10:00 AM until service time.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12 NOON.
