Ferdinand Betz, Jr.

F.S., age 79, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Ethel, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at his home. He was a cattleman and an Army veteran in the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ed Jelks. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Edith B. Betz a nephew, Cody McCrary two sisters, Katie Myers and husband Jerry, and Lynn Betz two brothers, Donald Lee Betz and wife Peggy, and Howard Ray Betz and wife Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand S. and Katie D. Betz and sister, Rita Ann Mautner. He was a member and deacon of Ethel Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Adams, Charles Strain, Rayburn Aslin and Zeke Dunaway.
