Ezilda M. Smith

Ezilda Mary Smith, 74 years old, beloved sister and aunt, was called to be with Jesus Christ Her Lord and Savior, on March 3, 2023.

She entered the world on May 12, 1948, born to Verdie Catherine Smith and Eddie Knox Smith, Sr. in Moreauville, LA.  She retired from Villa in Jackson, LA as a respiratory therapist after 29 years of service. 

Zil was a loving and giving person with a quick sense of wit and made many friends and relatives laugh. 

Zil is survived by her sister, Lois Chaves; her brothers, and their wives, James Albert Smith and Linda Smith, Stanley Pierre Smith and Linda Hurley Smith, Carl Anthony Smith and Annie Smith.  She had a host of nieces and nephews.

Zil was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Knox Smith, Sr. and Verdie Catherince Smith; her brothers, Eddie Knox Smith, Jr. and Willard Joseph Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70817, 12:00 p.m. will be visiting for family followed by 12:30 p.m. visiting for friends.  The service will start at 1:00 p.m.
