Evette Jackson

Evette Jackson, age 53, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on August 11, 2016.

She attended Istrouma High School and is also a graduate of Camelot Cosmetology School.

Evette is survived by her fiancé, Lawrence Francis; her children, Shayla Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Kayla and DaShawn Franklin; her sister, Debra Brown; her brothers, Nathaniel Barnes, Jr., Richard Barnes, John Barnes, Donald Barnes, and Jeff Barnes; and her grandchildren, Jakyri Jackson, Amyri Butler, and Aydenn Butler.

She is preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Barnes, Sr.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be David Brown, Richard Mitchell, Deundra Butler, Eric Brown, Ricky Mitchell, and DaShawn Franklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Jackson, Donald Barnes, Jeff Barnes, John Barnes, Nathaniel Barnes, and Richard Barnes.
