Evelyn Curole

A native of Blountville, Tennessee and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Carrington Place of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 11:00 AM until service at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Liz Wyatt. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She was born December 28, 1922, in Blountville to Nathan and Bess Latture. She worked at the Eastman in Kingsport before meeting the love of her life, Alvin. They were married October 25, 1945 and moved to Ville Platte, La where they lived and raised four children. She worked for the Evangeline Parish Welfare Department and retired. They moved to Baton Rouge in March, 1993. She is survived by her children, Gerry Fitch and husband Chuck of Baton Rouge, Michael Curole and wife Susie of Dulac, La, Nancy Bedwell and husband Ray of Harvey, La, and Mark Curole and wife Elisa of LaFayette, Ga. grandchildren, Jason Curole, Kara Horne and husband Chad, Parker Vidrine, Jenny Miller and husband Lance, Derek Fitch and wife Lauren, Michelle Blanchard and husband Bryan, Kenzie Fitch, Emily Hodges, Bonnie Griffin and husband Donald, Stephen Bedwell, and Clayton, Benna, and Jac Curole greatgrandchildren Layne and Dee Dee Miller, Hayden, Jude and Jerry Horne, Taylor and Caroline Blanchard, Isabella Griffin, Laura Bedwell, and Beckett Fitch brother Donald Latture and wife Betty of Franklin, Tn sisterinlaw Georgie Latture of Winchester, Tn and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Nathan Latture and daughterinlaw, Deborah Wiggins Curole. Pallbearers will be Clayton Curole, Jac Curole, Jason Curole, Lance Miller, Parker Vidrine, Chad Horne, and Derek Fitch. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Carrington Place of Baton Rouge and Cardinal Hospice for their compassionate care. Special thanks to the members of St. Johns Methodist Church for their prayers, flowers and cards.
