Evelyn Creel

A resident of Baton Rouge and a former resident of Larose, she died Wednesday, July 29, 2009. She was 84 and a native of Paradis. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bill Pruitt. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bob Creel; two daughters, Peggy Creel Humbert and husband Gordon and Bonnie Creel and companion Dodi Prather; two sons, Kenny Creel and wife Cathy and Robert Creel and wife Susan; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Bartet; brother, Daris Dasch; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her parents, Denis and Josephine P. Dasch; and her brother, Lawrence Dasch. She was a member of the Red Hatters and the Exxon Annuitant Club of Louisiana Bayous. She especially loved spending time with family and crocheting. Special thanks to Markel and Feliciana Home Health and to The Cottage at Broadmoor and staff for their compassionate care.
