Ethelyn Olivier

Ethelyn Mary "Rene" Darbonne Olivier, age 82, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2018 surrounded by family.
Ethelyn "Rene" is survived by three sons, Howard A. Olivier and wife Colleen; Timothy N. Olivier; and Karl P. Olivier. Brother, Norman Darbonne and wife Joan; two sisters, Daisy Frilot; Winnie Auzenne and husband Bobby. Grandchildren, Brooke DeLaSalle and husband Tommy; Amber Olivier; Patrick Olivier; Christian Olivier; and Christopher Jones and wife Renee; Great-grandchildren, Tommy "Tee", Lucan, and Harley DeLaSalle; Maddox and Maverick Olivier; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard O. Olivier; daughter Darlene Olivier Mathis; parents Anderson and Beulah Darbonne; and brother Norris Darbonne.
Visiting hours will take place at St. Jude Catholic Church on January 24, 2018 from 9:30 am until services at 11 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA.
Pallbearers will be Clinton "Black" Auzenne, Clayton "Mice" Auzenne, Patrick Olivier, Christian Olivier, Scott Auzenne, Damian Frilot, Paul Darbonne, Mark Darbonne, and Roger Darbonne. Honorary pallbearers are Norman Darbonne, Bobby Auzenne, Darrell Fontenot, Tommy "Tee" and Lucan DeLaSalle.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
The family wishes to sincerely thank her daughter-in-law Colleen, Life Source Hospice Nurse Danielle, and aides Joaney and Bobbie for help in her care.
