Esther Truschke

January 22, 1940 — October 28, 2010

Esther Falcon Truschke, 70, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Stewart B. and Cecile Sis Falcon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. Truschke, who was of Holton, Mich. She is survived by her daughter, Kellie Dahl and her husband, Ed grandchildren, Jamee and Justin Dahl, of Montague, Mich. a sister, Brenda Lollar and brother, Stewart B. Falcon Jr. Esther graduated from Baton Rouge High School and worked for the Baton Rouge Water Works before moving to Michigan, where she lived for more than 19 years. She returned to Baton Rouge after the death of her husband and worked for the Council on Aging. She loved animals, painting and working with wood crafts. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Her burial will be conducted in Michigan. There will be a memorial service at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. Special thanks. to the doctors and staff of Amedisys Home Health, Amedisys Hospice, Old Jefferson Community Care Center and St. Joseph Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge or the Humane Society of Greater Baton Rouge.
