Esther Courtney

Esther Courtney, age 89, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on February 25, 2017.

Esther is survived by her sons, Chester Dale Courtney and wife Sandra, and David Edmund Courtney and wife Dinah; her five grandsons, Christopher, Jonathan, Adam, Daniel and Marshall; and her six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Chester "Bud" Courtney; her parents, N. R. and Lillian Bourn; and her siblings, Clarence Bourn, Carrie B. Bankston, Louise B. Acosta, Annie B. Kennedy, Carter Bourn, Rufus Bourn and Grace B. Jones.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 12:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
