Ernest King

Ernest L. (Ernie) King, age 69, a native of Kansas and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on August 12, 2016.

Ernest was a dedicated employee of Automated Filing Systems for over 30 years. He was a member of Red Oaks Hunting Club. And a proud Vietnam Veteran, between the years of 1967 - 1968.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Cynthia King; his son, Brian King and wife Tara King; his brothers, Edwin King and wife Pat, Erwin King and wife Regina, and Earl King; his grandchildren, Sammy Denicola and wife Heather, Eric King, and Trent King; his great-grandchild, Gage Denicola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Erica and his parents, Edwin and Norma King.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 16, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
