Eric Triche

Eric E. Triche, 71, born October 13, 1950 in Baton Rouge, La., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 28, 2022.

He is survived by Jeanne Triche, wife of 41 years; sons Jacob, Brock and wife Sharika Triche, and granddaughters Sarah Lynne and Carlie Brooke Triche; father Harry Triche, and brothers Owen and wife Sharon, and Michael Triche.

He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Triche and brother Kerry Triche.

During Eric's formative years, he lived in many places including Texas, Canada, and Greece where he graduated from Thessaloniki International School before returning to the States, furthering his education at the University of Southwest Louisiana. Eric was an entrepreneur, forming and operating several businesses including Southern Surplus Services, LLC, and E&T Contractors, LLC, of which he served as Owner/President until his death. Eric enjoyed his passion for the construction industry, often reminiscing about his earlier jobs, such as building the smoke stacks at Big Cajun in New Roads, LA when he was a member of Local 1098 Carpenters Union. He worked 20 years as an Estimator & Project Manager for Anco Insulation, where he secured numerous large national contracts prior to forming & managing his own businesses. As a husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Eric especially enjoyed holidays and spending time with his extended family; sister-in-law Joannie Hebert and her children Josh & his beloved Kelly. Eric had exceptional culinary skills. His specialty, seafood gumbo became an annual tradition requested by all for Christmas celebrations. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, & LSU sports where he was a regular attendee at LSU baseball games, and a "professional tailgater".

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, in Baton Rouge, Friday February 4th from 12-2 p.m. with funeral service and burial ceremony to follow.
