Eppie Manuel Landry, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a devout Catholic, passed away on December 13, 2015 at the age of 96.
Eppie was born on September 10, 1919, in Ville Platte, LA, and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She was married to the love of her life, Woodrow Landry, for 66 years until his passing in 2008. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Catholic Deaf Center of Baton Rouge.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Michelli; her son and daughter-in-law, Gerard and Marian Landry; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lyddie and Charlie Hansen; 11 grandchildren, Twana Pulliam, Kellie Barton, Michael Castello, Lisa Mello, Melissa Williams, Tamara Armstrong, Dawn Biggs, Cory Landry, Vanessa Navarre, Tern Ezell, and Fr. Brent Maher; 21 Great Grandchildren, Trey Wolf, Sam Barton, Kate Barton, Anne Barton, Max Castello, Luke Castello, Sadie Mello, Emmy Mello, Kyle Armstrong, Austin Armstrong, Logan Biggs, Hayden Biggs, Trevor Williams, Emma Williams, Ainsley Williams, Laken Landry, Lucas Landry, Taylor Navarre, Lawson Navarre, Darah Bueche and Megan Ezell and one great-great granddaughter, Cameron Wolf.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Landry; parents, Homer and Elda Ardoin of Ville Platte, Louisiana; brothers, LeRoy Manuel, Leon Manuel; infant brother, Richard Manuel; and a sister, Grace Barnette.
Visitation will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, on Saturday, December 19th, from 10:00 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway.
