Emmett Howard Pritchard, age 81, passed away May 31, 2018.
Resident of Baton Rouge, family originally from Kentwood, Louisiana. He was a 1955 graduate from Istrouma High School, served in the United States Air Force, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Howard devoted most his life to the community by serving in law enforcement.
Retired with 25 years of service with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Association and 12 years as an investigator with the Baton Rouge District Attorney's office.
He loved to travel, the mountains, friends and most of all family and God.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Connie Fredericksen Pritchard; daughters Sonya and husband Terry Simoneaux; Sharon Pritchard; Lenea and husband Ted Hebert. Grandsons Matthew Stone and wife Heather; Trey Hebert and wife Allison; granddaughter Whitney Hebert Mammarella and husband David. He was blessed with seven great grandchildren: Wyatt, Jameson and Collins Stone; Zoe and Clara Hebert; and Evie and John David Mammerella.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father: Mattie McElveen Pritchard and Emmett Pritchard; and sister Martha Pritchard Brumfield.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Resthaven from 9:00am until funeral service at 11:00am.
