Emmett Eugene Carter Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2011, at his residence in Greenwell Springs. He was 61, a native of Blountstown, Fla., and retired operations supervisor with ExxonMobil Refinery with 35 years service. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Thursday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Randy Currier. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Riddick Carter daughters and soninlaw, Terri Carter Watts and Scott Watts, and Claudia Noelle Carter son, Benjamin Paul Carter sister, Maryell Vickery Dillard, of Florida brothers, Talmadge Vickery and Gene Carter, of Florida fatherinlaw, Claude Riddick and two grandchildren, Austin Blade Ducote and Greyson Dean Watts. Preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Eunice Carter and father, Emmett Eugene Carter Sr. Pallbearers will be Greg Riddick, Randy Riddick, Hugh Riddick, Donnie Peters, Luke Davis and Scott Watts. He was a devoted husband and father, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and attending his childrens ball games.
