Emmaline Thibodeaux

Emmaline Mary Neck Thibodeaux, a resident of Pride, LA, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Eunice Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the age of 79. In the early sixties, for many years, Emmaline was the town clerk of Fordoche, LA. There she met the love of her life, Ophey J. "O.J." Thibodeaux, Sr., whom at the same time, was the town Marshall of Fordoche, LA. She spent the happiest years of her life fishing, Cajun dancing, hunting, and just living a simple life with "O.J." until his passing. But overall, she made the best of life, realizing it is a gift to be treasured each day. She was born in Mansura, LA, and preceded in death by her parents, Mary Cooper Neck & Eustice Jean Neck, her brother, Howard Jeansonne of Violet, LA and her sister, Mamie Gueho of Fordoche, LA. She is survived by various nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m.  Interment will follow on the grounds of Resthaven Gardens of Memory.  A special thanks to the kind staff of Eunice Manor and Mrs. Nickie Toups for the kind and loving care she received during her stay at the nursing home.
