Emily Lepard

Emily Sue Munson Lepard, 57, lost a courageous battle against cancer on October 16, 2010. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, William Wheeler Lepard and their daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Lepard. Emily precedes her mother, Mary Jane Cotten Lundin a brother, Fulton Rogers Roger Munson, Jr. a sister, Jane Buchanan MunsonBerg and her husband, Robert Alan Berg a sister, Deborah Ann Munson Shelton and a sisterinlaw, Alice Morgan Lepard Marks and her husband, Robert Francis Marks. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends and a great number of nursing colleagues and grateful patients. She is preceded in death by her father, Fulton Rogers Munson, Sr. a stepmother, Alice Koening Munson a stepfather, Edward J. Lundin, Sr. her sister, Mary Kathryn Munson grandparents and various uncles, aunts and cousins. Emily, born, May 15, 1953, was a devoted nurse at Womans Hospital for 31 years. She enjoyed volunteer work which included over 10 years with Family Road of Baton Rouge and enjoyed many years spent helping her daughters Girl Scout troop. She loved animals, especially horses. She attended St. Aloysius School, St. Josephs Academy, Louisiana State University and Our Lady of the Lake College. She was a member of St. Lukes Espiscopal Church where she sang in the choir. Emily was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend, whose radiant smile, beautiful green eyes, and infectious giggle will be missed by many who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October, 24, 2010 from 2pm to 6pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816. A Memorial Mass and visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70817. Visitation will be at 9:30am with the Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30am. The burial will occur at 1pm in St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Innis, Louisiana.
