A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5:44 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at The Carpenter House. She was 100. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Michael Collins and the Rev. Jerry Young. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two daughters, Lura Sharp, and Eloise MiMi Wood and husband Jim five sons, Clay J. Parent Jr., Ervin P. Parent and wife Brenda, Ellis R. Parent and wife Gail, Edward J. Parent and wife Mary Ann, and Kerry A. Parent and wife Mary Liz two sisters, Ruby Edmonston and Ida Mae LeBlanc many nieces and nephews including Robert Denny and wife Flo 34 grandchildren, 53 greatgrandchildren and 25 greatgreatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Clay J. Parent Sr. parents, Cleophas and Jane Argrave daughter, Shirley Ann Babin three sons, Ernest, Earl and Perry Parent daughterinlaw, Laura Parent soninlaw, Marshall J. Sharp, Jr. two grandchildren, Darren Parent and Dana Parent two greatgrandchildren, Jeff Hanlin and Nicole Parent three sisters, Evelyn Martin, Amelia Martin and Ruth Rheams and three brothers, Melvin, James and Mervin Argrave. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.
