Ellen Hanagriff, age 72, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015.

She was born on April, 5, 1943, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the daughter of Boyd Joseph Lowe Sr. and Estelle (Butler) Lowe.

Ellen graduated in 1965 from Louisiana State University with her bachelor's degree in Education. Those who knew her will remember her as being an LSU Tiger fan. She worked for Allstate for over 25 years where she eventually retired from. Some of her favorite things to do were decorating, cooking and watching her grandchildren play. Ellen's nature was to care for people and make them feel welcome. Her grandkids were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Hanagriff and his wife Gena, and Mark Hanagriff; grandchildren, Boyd Hanagriff, and Samuel Hanagriff; sister, Dottie Smith; brother, Boyd Lowe Jr. and his wife Debra; nieces, Bonnie Smith, Tammy Hardy and her husband Jared; nephews, Barry Smith, Bruce Smith and his wife Rose, and Trey Lowe and his wife Kelly.

There will be a visitation on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339.

An additional visitation and burial services will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 12:00 pm until services at 2:30 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
