Ellen Estevens

Ellen Irene Munsil Estevens, age 75, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

Ellen was a native of New York City, New York. She grew up in Houston, Texas before moving to Louisiana in 1969. She has lived in New Orleans and Thibodaux before finally residing in Baton Rouge. She was an honors graduate in English from The University of Houston in 1968, and her Masters in Social Work from Tulane University in 1974. In 1977, she was licensed as LCSW. She married the love of her life, William, in November of 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ellen is survived by her husband, William Estevens; sister, Norma Barnes; and numerous nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Shirley Munsil and Virginia Klaes Munsil; and her sister, Karen Ann Munsil.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
