Ella Marie Trahan Sinitiere passed at her residence in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at 5:35 a.m. She was 70. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Jan. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary followed by a wake service at 7 p.m. Visiting will resume at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 S. Harrells Ferry Road, on Friday, Jan. 7, from 10 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Tom Ranzino and the Rev. Paul Gros. Burial will be in St. George Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hebert Geib, of Kennesaw, Ga. sons and daughtersinlaw, Jerry and Liz Sinitiere, of Gonzales, and Bob and Vina Sinitiere, of Baton Rouge sister, Rosalie Trahan brothers and sistersinlaw, Ivy Trahan Jr., Howard and Diane Trahan, Garland and Gail Trahan and Randall and Mary Lee Trahan grandchildren, Kimberly Sinitiere, Catherine and Chris Watts, Amy and Billy Spinks, Sarah and Ritchie Bullion and Kristopher Geib and Taylor Geib and greatgrandchildren, Andrew and Graham Watts, Harris, Maysen and Morgan Spinks and Ava and Brody Bullion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Sinitiere parents, Ivy and Rosalie Trahan and sister, Mary Trahan. She was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, ministered through St. Jean Vianney Social Responsibilities and served on its Core Planning Committee. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of St. Jean Vianney Court 2303 and served with Threads of Love and Habitat for Humanity. She was also involved in the Double Nickle Club and Hickory Ridge Gardening Club. She was honored in 2007 by the Diocese Council of Catholic Women. At the familys request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
