Elizabeth Strain

Elizabeth "Betty" C. Strain, passed away on July 23, 2015 at the Butterfly Wing of Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was the love of Donald's life and the most unselfish wife, mother and friend. Betty would have done anything for anyone. She will live in our hearts forever. Betty attended Southwestern University in Lafayette and Louisiana State University where she achieved a Master's Plus in Education. She spent 33 years doing what she loved, teaching elementary school children.

Betty was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, a member of the ladies lunch group, Serendipity, a Sigma Sigma Sigma member, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Retired Teachers Association.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Constantino, and her beloved grandmother Rose Russo.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald A. Strain, Sr.; her children, Donald A. Strain, Jr. and wife Jodie, Fran Strain Bolton, Scott O. Strain and wife Sherry, Pamela S.Ray and husband Alan; brothers, Raymond Constantino and Frank Constantino Jr. and their families; grandchildren and the light of her days for the past 20 years, Chandler Strain, Taylor Katchur, Brady Strain, Ella Ray and Julia Strain.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road Baton Rouge, LA from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12:00 PM.

Interment will take place at St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum, 7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of
your choice.
